Skill Game Status
Indian courts have consistently treated rummy as predominantly a game of skill rather than gambling, this goes back to the Supreme Court's ruling in State of Andhra Pradesh vs. K. Satyanarayana (1968). That said, skill game or not, real-money formats still come with financial risk. Play with what you can afford to lose, not what you're hoping to win back.
Restricted States
A few Indian states restrict online real-money rummy and skill games. If you're a resident of any of the following, real-money Max Rummy isn't available to you:
A handful of other states, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu among them, change their regulations from time to time. It's on you to check the current rules in your own state or UT before playing.
Age Requirement
Max Rummy is for users 18 and older only. Creating an account or playing as a minor is strictly not allowed.
Playing Responsibly
Set a limit upfront
Decide your time and budget before you start playing, not while you're already in a session.
Don't chase losses
If you're on a losing streak, step away. Playing more to win back losses usually makes things worse.
Treat it as entertainment
Rummy should be something you enjoy, not something you rely on for income.
Ask for help if needed
If gaming starts feeling out of your control, talk to someone you trust or reach out to a helpline.
